Teacher/Student input needed! School innovation project
We are a group of college engineering and computer science students who are tasked to design/innovate an every-day school item in order to solve a problem that teachers or students have in the classroom. This problem can be with a physical item or just be a problem teachers have within the classroom, such as trouble getting students to focus or a concept that’s especially difficult to illustrate. We’d really appreciate any input that you may have.

I don’t know about your school but the major issue that we had in school was lighting. The main source was sunlight which always made us want to sleep. There were lights in classes but they were dim. Lights in classes should be bright and more in numbers. What about color-changing LEDs. You can choose the color for different days. Like any time a student has a birthday you can set pink or maybe let the student choose the color. In some advanced LEDs, you can also assign voice levels to colors. Eg Red for group work voices, Yellow for Whisper, and Green for Silent. Once you assign them the color of the lights will automatically change. You can have a hand signal for asking to go to the restroom, asking a question, or answering a question. Trust me it will save teachers a lot of energy.
