Teaching English in Taiwan – EFL via PE~
Hi,
I’ve really been thinking a lot about teaching abroad. So far, I’ve narrowed down the list of places to…Taiwan!
I’ve read a lot of things online about how nice it is there to teach, so kind of a two-parter, here, please. Have any of you taught in Taiwan?
The SECOND part is that, at least according to a recent article I found, https://tealit.com/article_categories.php?section=arcs&article=requirements-to-teach-english-in-taiwan-in-2023, there’s no degree concentration that is required. Do you think a teacher could effectively use PE to teach English as a second language. I’ve already gone ahead and gotten a TEFL certificate, and that gave me lots of conceptual thinking. But, in terms of actually integrating the two – is it possible as fully fledged class? I mean, ALWAYS PE? Or, would it need to be a combination of in-class work and then in the gym or on the pitch.
What do you think. Possible?
